Optificient software solution by Industrial Analytics helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs
Industrial Analytics an Infineon Technologies company, will showcase its software solution Optificient at EXPO REAL 2026. Rising temperatures and increasing cooling demand are putting growing pressure on facility management teams to optimise heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across entire buildings and facility portfolios – not only through new equipment, but through smarter operation of existing infrastructure. Developed and validated under semiconductor-grade operational requirements, Optificient helps building operators and facility management providers reduce heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)-related energy costs, lower emissions and improve operational efficiency across large facility portfolios.
Optificient can be integrated seamlessly into existing building automation environments. It is based on hybrid AI models that combine advanced AI capabilities with physics-based models capturing the operational expertise of HVAC specialists and engineers. This enables automated optimisation based on real-world system behaviour. Rather than simply reporting inefficiencies, Optificient continuously identifies optimal operating conditions for HVAC systems and automatically adjusts setpoints in real time to improve energy performance while safeguarding operational constraints. Compared to purely statistical approaches, this methodology provides greater transparency and operational confidence, particularly in mission-critical environments such as industrial production facilities, data centres and hospitals, as well as in office buildings.
“As energy costs continue to rise and facility management teams are expected to optimise performance across growing building portfolios, providers are looking for scalable ways to extend operational expertise and deliver measurable value to their customers, without increasing operational complexity,” said Lisa Erdmann, CEO of Industrial Analytics. “Optificient enables organisations to expand their service offerings with AI-powered HVAC optimisation, helping customers reduce costs and emissions while scaling expertise across large facility portfolios.”
Depending on the building type and baseline operating conditions, Optificient has delivered annual HVAC-related energy cost savings ranging from five to 30 percent in completed projects. It supports optimisation across key HVAC functions, including heating and cooling generation, air treatment and distribution, making it applicable to a wide range of commercial and industrial facilities. This flexibility enables organisations to address optimisation opportunities across different facility types and scale deployments consistently across entire building portfolios.
As a white-label software solution, Optificient enables facility management companies and building automation providers to offer AI-powered HVAC optimisation services under their own brand. This allows organisations to expand their service portfolios without developing in-house AI expertise or committing significant development resources. Optificient can be deployed in cloud environments or entirely on-premises to meet customer data governance and security requirements.
Optificient was designed as a software add-on and integrates with existing building management, energy management and operational systems, regardless of the underlying hardware or software infrastructure. This minimises implementation effort and investment risk, allowing operators to continue using their existing IT and building automation systems.
Originally developed for highly demanding industrial environments and validated in real-world production and building operations, including facilities and manufacturing sites operated by Infineon, the technology now brings this experience to commercial real estate, office buildings and industrial facilities.
A live demonstration of Optificient will be presented at the Industrial Analytics booth (hall A3, booth TB75) during EXPO REAL 2026 in Munich from 5 to 7 October.
Optificient is available now. Further information is available at industrial-analytics.io
