Sensor is integrated in three-viewer mode smart fusion camera

Thermal imaging has been added to FusionSight, the armed forces camera. ULIS supplies the VGA 17micron Gen2 thermal sensor for the low-light colour and night vision for separate or smart fusion viewing.

The lightweight night and day vision enhancer enables three viewing modes – colour imaging in extreme low-light, high-resolution thermal imaging to detect threats at night in all-weather conditions, and smart fusion that allows real-time image processing. According to the company, this feature gives special forces the option to select key information provided by both the vision and thermal image sensors in a single image. Another feature is enhanced critical field vision at night or during the day at distances up to 3km.
