JPR Electronics adds Myrra 44000 EI30 resin-encapsulated safety transformers

Inherently short-circuit proof and self-extinguishing, the Myrra 44000 series E130 footprint, encapsulated transformers are now available from specialist distributor, JPR Electronics.

The resin-encapsulated Myrra 44000 printed circuit board (PCB) mount transformer series is available in two power ratings 0.6 to 2.8VA and 3.2 to 30VA. They have primary voltage options of 230 or 117V AC and singe and dual outputs from six to 24V. The 44000 series E130 resin encapsulated safety transformers have single or twin independent secondary windings that are inherently short-circuit proof, says JPR Electronics. They provide 4kV insulation voltage (tested to 6kV), and meet all requirements of EN 60950, EN61558-2-6 and UL1585. The transformers are enclosed in a vacuum filled, self-extinguishing UL 94 VO plastic and are 100 per cent tested during production.

All models are approved to UL, VDE, SEMKO, DEMKO, KEMA and other major approvals and are RoHS-compliant. Additional thermal protection, thermal fuse or a thermal switch-CTP may be added on request.

Paul Raynor, director of JPR Electronics, adds that the Myrra 44000 encapsulated PCB-mounted transformers have the industry standard EI30 footprint, making them suitable for, new designs, increasing safety of existing designs or replacing any E130 transformer in the event of short supply. According to the company, their isolation and construction make them particularly suitable for safety critical, high reliability systems in industry, instrumentation and medical applications.
