Advantech launches fanless 4K signage system built for smart city and outdoor applications

Advantech has announced the launch of the DS-330, a compact, fanless digital signage player built for next-generation smart city infrastructure. Powered by Intel Atom x7000 series processors, the DS-330 delivers ultra-clear 4K visuals in extreme environments—making it ideal for drive-thrus, transit hubs, outdoor kiosks, and public video walls.

The DS-330 is powered by the latest Intel Atom x7000 Series, Intel Celeron® N97, or Intel Core i3-N305 processors, delivering scalable performance for a wide range of deployments—from basic public information displays to AI-enabled edge signage.

Despite its compact size (180 x 150 x 35 mm), the DS-330 supports triple 4K display output, including two HDMI 2.0 ports with hardware EDID and one USB-C video port. This makes it an ideal solution for synchronised, high-clarity signage in transportation centres, digital menu boards, and wayfinding systems.

To simplify maintenance and reduce operational costs, the DS-330 includes Out-of-Band (OOB) management capabilities. This allows IT administrators to remotely reboot, monitor, and troubleshoot devices—even if the operating system is unresponsive—minimising service disruptions and maximising uptime across large-scale deployments.

Whether installed at a transit platform, outdoor kiosk, or retail environment, the DS-330 empowers operators to deliver vibrant, context-aware content reliably and efficiently. With its compact footprint, robust I/O, and remote management features, the DS-330 advances the connected, digital infrastructure needed for today’s smart cities.
